We are currently building a new page dedicated to holiday homes and places to stay across Teesdale.
This page will help visitors find welcoming and peaceful accommodation while giving local hosts a trusted place to be seen.

Every listing will be free and will include:

• One image of your property

• A short friendly description

• A direct link to your website or booking agent

There will be no fees and no commission now or in the future.
Our website is supported through a small number of national affiliate links which allows us to offer all local listings at no cost.

Discover Teesdale is created and run by Outdoor Exploring Family. It is not a tourism board or a paid commercial directory. It is a community project built from our own experiences walking, photographing and learning about the dale.

Our aim is to provide clear, honest and easy to read information that helps people explore with confidence.
Everything on Discover Teesdale is based on real days outdoors. We do not publish generic content and we never charge local businesses to appear on our pages.

Our Outdoor Exploring Family Ethos

Outdoor Exploring Family began as a simple way for us to spend more time outdoors and feel calmer as a family. Over time it became clear that nature was helping far more than we ever expected. Quiet paths, open landscapes and small moments outdoors made a real difference to our mindset, and we wanted to share that feeling with others.

Everything on our website comes from our own experiences. Every photograph is taken on our walks. Every page is written so people can explore with confidence and enjoy the same sense of calm that we find outdoors.

We do not run Outdoor Exploring Family for clicks or numbers. We do it because we believe nature can support wellbeing, and everyone should have access to friendly guidance that feels honest and real. If our website helps even one person find a peaceful moment or discover somewhere new, then it has done its job.
